Wait …. What is happening?!?
We are SCUBA Diving All 50 states!
So? A lot of people do that.
Yes, but …. Our requirements: FRESH WATER that is not toxic, not illegal (mostly) to dive in, and not (too) gross.
Preferably 85 degrees and clear, allowing for at least a 20 minute dive for at least 20 feet, but we’ve learned that doesn’t always work out. There are very few lakes or quarries like that in the US.
We’ll settle for deep and long enough to register on our computer, bonus if there’s more than rocks or muck to stare at, no wild life that will try to eat us, not having to walk a mile uphill in wet gear after, and viz decent enough to take some pictures.
Ok …. But Why?!
To our knowledge, no one else has ever completed this before. So why not?
But really….
We want to encourage you to explore on your own!
Our goal is to create a living journal so we can share our stories and have a list of freshwater sites across the U.S. for you. Ones we have dove, ones we know or have heard about, so you to enjoy, explore, work on skills, get some bubble time in, and have your own adventures.
We can’t promise they will be the best – the stories or the sites, but we’ll share where we have been, what we recommend, and add in some friendly guidance, exciting adventures, and hope to build a community that loves to dive!
Not everyone can run away to an island to get some bubble time; now, you’ll have no excuses.

We have so many stories to tell!!
Not only do we want to share our adventures with all of our friends, new and old, but we want promote something we love doing (travel and SCUBA), create community, and share some hard learned wisdom.
Our quest is also a chance to create memories, live and enjoy life, and continue to get to know and grow with each other. And sometimes some of our closest friends. A few of them you can blame for this.
Ben:
Fun loving guy from both sides of the US that has accumulated all the initials: Army Veteran, retired firefighter, practicing PA-C, Scottish Lord, DMSc, MPH, and is an Explorer Club Member. Holds certifications from NAUI, PADI, EDRI/SDI/TDI Course Director and Instructor Trainer. Diving since 1997.

Tessa:
Texas born and raised, an Aggie grad that loves adventure, is a small business owner, and is probably a bad influence. NAUI and SDI/TDI diver that hasn’t drowned yet. Diving since 2017.
So what’s happening now:
Life has been a little hectic.
We were actively on our way to finishing before 2025, but we had to take a year or so off due to an injury and then Ben’s retirement from the Fire Department. We also travel …. a lot. Not always dive related. And we still work full time.
We also bought Aquala Dry Suits.
Not just to wear – we bought the company!
And we are in the process of reviving that.
So… there’s been some transition.
We also just regained control of the website. ….Stupid hackers taking us offline for months ….. (So we are rebuilding and adding new awesome updates soon! So please forgive our mess.)
